Yes, with the standard XL tap the levers can be raised to allow constant dispense, for refilling a jug for example.
How to use the safety function on a Billi Tap?
By default, the Billi taps come with an electronic safety lock, which means that the boiling side of the tap cannot be operated by mistake. It requires the user to deliberately touch a padlock icon before boiling can be dispensed. Chilled water is always available and is never locked.
What is a drainage font?
This is a stainless steel drip tray that is inset into a worktop to allow the boiling and chilled tap to be a stand alone tap away from a sink. It has its own connection to the waste and is often chosen for safety reasons. With each font is a riser of 70mm, which lifts the tap high enough to dispense into a tall glass or jug. It is optional, although some clients choose to situate the tap so it can dispense over an existing sink. Click here to see the fonts we offer for Billi Taps.
What needs to be in place to have a Billi Tap installed?
It’s important to have access to water, waste and electric within one metre of the system, as well as adequate under-counter space to house the command centre with required ventilation. Most offices will have break out kitchen areas where all of this is accessible. Speak to one of our experts who can advise on install process. 01905 337187
How energy efficient is a Billi Tap compared to a kettle?
Billi Taps are 95% efficient at turning electricity into boiling water, making it much cheaper to run than boiling a kettle. Billi taps also create no water waste and the water being dispensed in filtered every time for a cleaner taste and more hygienic water.
Is ventilation required for a Billi Tap?
The under-counter system does not require any additional ventilation where it is placed, so no cutting of the cabinet doors for ventilation, meaning it won’t interfere with your kitchen design.
Which worktops can be cut into to install Billi Taps?
Our expertly trained engineers are able to cut into most worktop materials as part of the install process to seamlessly integrate the Billi Tap flush to the surface, however it is always recommended to check with one of our account managers to confirm.

My Billi Tap is not dispensing water, what shall I do?
Firstly, enquire whether the water supply to your building has been interrupted at all, often it could be down to localised water pressure. Next, try checking that the water supply to the Billi under counter unit is turned on. Sometimes this could be isolated by a member of staff by mistake and would prevent the cold water supply reaching the tap. Also, check that the power is turned on, and see if there are any error messages shown on the display screen. If you do have an error message showing on your Billi tap, it may be best to speak to one of our service team on 01905 337187
Why do the red and blue lights flash on my Billi Tap?
Flashing red means boiling water hasn’t reached 99°C yet. Flashing blue means water hasn’t chilled to set temperature. Both lights will glow solid when this happens.
Click here for a larger diagram and to read more.
What does it mean when the yellow lights are flashing on my Billi tap?
Yellow flashing lights on your Billi Tap means that there is a fault with your tap. Please call our service team on 01905 337187, who will be able to provide expert advice to try and find solution over the phone. If they are unable to do so, we will arrange an engineer visit to solve the issue.
How do I enable the safety mode on a Billi Tap?
On the Billi unit under the worktop, press the ‘Select’ button, then arrow down to ‘Options’. Press the ‘Select’ button and set Safety Switch to ‘On’. Touch the indent on the black panel on the back of the Billi tap to allow for a short boiling water flow.
My Billi Tap is leaking or dripping?
If you are experiencing water leaking from the tap head or under counter unit, immediately switch the machine off at the mains and isolate the water supply to the machine. Contact our service team who will advise and arrange an engineer to visit your office to resolve. Call 01905 337187
What do the lights and icons mean on a Billi Tap?
No boiling water coming out my Billi tap and the dispenser red light is always flashing.
The heating element may have blown or overloaded. Contact our service team on 01905 337187 to arrange a service of your system.
Do water filters get blocked? Our boiling water flows well but cool just dribbles out.
Yes. As filters catch contaminants, they become soiled. Billi under counter water systems use mains pressure, so reduced chilled water flow indicates you should change filters.
